Projects in Turkey
The geologic setting of Turkey is dominated by the broadening and intensification of magmatic and tectonic activity associated with a continuation of the Tethyan metallogenic belt from Eastern Europe into Asia Minor. Turkey is characterized by a number of recent epithermal gold, gold-silver and porphyry copper deposit discoveries. This prospective geologic environment, coupled with a favorable business climate, makes Turkey a premier country for building shareholder value via exploration, discovery, and mine development.

EMX's program in Turkey forms a cornerstone of the Company, with a number of quality gold, gold-silver and copper-gold properties ranging from grassroots to drill stage exploration projects. The Company controls over 2,000 square kilometers of exploration licenses, and is one of Turkey's largest exploration land holders. EMX has focused on the highly prospective Western Anatolia and Eastern Pontides mineral provinces, and the exploration targets consist of high sulfidation gold, low sulfidation gold-silver, and porphyry copper deposit types. This portfolio represents a broad range of discovery opportunities at various stages of exploration assessment.

EMX's exploration efforts in Turkey have resulted in the acquisition of the flagship Sisorta gold project which has recently entered into an earn-in agreement with Chesser Resources Limited., (see EMX news release dated October 31, 2007) the grassroots discovery of the Akarca gold-silver prospect, and the value enhancement of other gold and base metal properties in the portfolio, and the identification of additional new business opportunities.
