La Miel Project
The La Miel gold-copper project is located in eastern Haiti. EMX's La Miel project is covered by four exploration permits totaling 324.5 square kilometers, and is located along a segment of prospective geologic terrain similar to, and
on trend with, the world-class Pueblo Viejo gold-silver deposit in the neighboring Dominican Republic. Regional geology consists of flysch sequences, felsic volcanics and intersive rocks that lie within a 35 kilometer long trend of epithermal alteration. A 15 square kilometer area with strong epithermal alteration and anomalous gold-silver-copper mineralization has been outlined around the Savane La Place ("SLP") prospect. EMX has excavated and sampled ten trenches at SLP, LM-1 through LM-10, that all returned encouraging results (see Company news releases dated June 11, 2007, May 24, 2007 and November 2, 2007) see table below. Trenches encountered silicified altered brecciated volcanics, baritic breccias and altered intrusive felsic tuffs and intrusives.
EMX's initial soil samples were collected on 100 meter centers covering five square kilometers, and totaling 492 samples. Soil assay results identified a strong gold anomaly (+0.1 g/t Au) with associated copper mineralization, extending approximately 800 m (north-south) by 300 m (east-west). This anomaly
is zoned outward into a larger, lower grade gold anomaly (+0.02 g/t Au), that encompasses a 1.2 km (NW-SE) by 0.9 km (NE-SW) area. These soil anomalies outline a one square kilometer high sulfidation gold-copper target area. A second soil gold and copper anomaly was identified 1.25 km to the north of SLP and is a priority target for future work.Trench |

Reconnaissance outcrop sampling has identified gold mineralization 0.5 kilometers northwest of all reported trenches. Five grab-channel samples have been collected and analyzed, with gold assays ranging from 0.3 - 7.3 g/t gold. Mineralization is also hosted in altered felsic volcanic tuffs. An additional 1200 rock and soil samples have been collected along the northwest trending zone of altered volcanic rocks and are pending assay.

EMX continues to systematically evaluate the SLP prospect and other prospects throughout the La Miel project, while pursuing additional quality business opportunities in Haiti.
