Bronco Creek Exploration

EMX's wholly owned subsidiary, Bronco Creek Exploration (BCE), was acquired in early 2010. BCE has an exploration portfolio of 20 copper and gold properties in key mining districts of Nevada, Wyoming, and Arizona. The majority of the projects are currently under joint venture, lease/option, or exploration alliance agreements.

Since inception as a private company, BCE has successfully followed EMX's prospect generation business model by acquiring mineral properties with excellent discovery potential, and then executing partnership agreements that create revenue streams from those properties. This self-sustaining business model acts to preserve working capital, while maintaining equity interests in properties that allow for the participation in the financial upside of discoveries.

BCE is continuing with an aggressive exploration campaign in 2011. Funding for the majority of the exploration work will be provided by partner companies, and BCE will act as operator for several of the projects. The key to BCE's success is a top tier exploration staff that has complemented and further strengthened EMX's team. Dr. David Johnson is the BCE business unit manager for EMX, and is supported by the BCE staff based in Tucson. Dr. Johnson is best known for his extensive work on Iron-Oxide-Copper-Gold (IOCG) deposits, and has co-authored review papers and taught numerous short courses on porphyry and IOCG systems. BCE's Dr. Eric Jensen has been appointed as Global Generative Exploration Team Leader for EMX, and as such continues to work with the BCE business unit, as well with EMX's other business units. Dr. Jensen is best known for his work on alkaline gold systems and porphyry deposits, and has been an invited speaker at many conferences and symposiums while continuing to teach short courses on mineral exploration internationally.

BCE recently established a Regional Acquisition Agreement with Vale Exploration Canada Inc., a subsidiary of Brazilian-based Vale S.A. ("Vale"), focused on identifying and developing copper projects in the Western United States. The Agreement includes a regional exploration portfolio generation program, under which Vale has elected to make the Mesa Well copper property the first Designated Project. BCE and Vale will conduct a generative, copper-focused acquisition and exploration program within an Area of Interest ("AOI") comprised of the states of Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, and Montana. BCE will be the operator of the program, and Vale will provide 100% of all regional exploration funding.

The Agreement with Vale further positions the Company for long-term sustainability, while continuing to provide its investors with exposure to exploration upside and discovery in a rapidly expanding property portfolio. This portfolio has been developed in some of the world's premier mineral belts.
